Report: Bellator MMA Signs Nainoa Dung

MMA

Naino Dung, who made a successful Bellator MMA debut at Bellator 213, has apparently signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.

This news was first reported by KHON2 News, which says that a contract was offered to Dung after he defeated Kona Oliveira by third round TKO at the event. Dung is 2-0-0 as a professional MMA fighter, with his only other victory coming over Kris Berberich by first round submission at X-1 World Events Day 50 in August of this year.

Dung also competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Keenan Kennedy by first round TKO at KOA Combat: Ekolu. The victory for Dung at KOA Combat: Ekolu would make him the new KOA Combat Lightweight Champion, but Dung would never defend the belt as the fighter turned pro after that bout.

It is unknown if Oliveira, who lost to Dung at Bellator 213, would’ve been offered a contract if the result of the fight had worked out his way.

There is no word yet on when Dung will make his second appearance for Bellator MMA, who isn’t running any events in Hawaii at this time, but the promotions schedule for 2019 has only been set through March.
