A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Adelaide according to Combate as #7 Wilson Reis is in action against #11 Ben Nguyen.
Reis (22-9-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a three fight losing streak, with those losses coming to the trio of Demetrious Johnson, Henry Cejudo and John Moraga. Reis hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Yuta Sasaki at UFC 208. Reis was the first and only Elite XC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Abel Cullum to win the gold in September of 2008.
Nguyen (16-7-0) has picked up victories in two of his last three bouts, with those wins coming against the duo of Geane Herrera and Tim Elliott. Nguyen hasn’t gone the distance in almost two years, with his last fight to do so coming at UFC Fight Night 101. Nguyen is also a former Nitro MMA Flyweight Champion, defeating Julian Wallace to win the gold at Nitro MMA 11.
