A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night San Diego as Cortney Casey is in action against Lara Procopio.
Combate first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Casey (8-7-0) is going to be making her UFC Women’s Flyweight Division debut in this encounter, as the fighter previously competed at strawweight. Casey has won just one of her last four in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Casey is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, as her last bout took place at UFC Fight Night Phoenix in February of 2019.
Procopio (6-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Karol Rosa at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Procopio has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of decision. Procopio also competed three times in the Shooto Brazil promotion, with one of those wins in the organization coming by way of submission.
