This month’s UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till card has taken a hit on multiple levels because Danny Roberts and Shavkat Rakhmonov have been pulled from the card.
MMA Junkie first reported the news, but no reason has been given for either fighter’s removal from the card. Nicolas Dalby and Ramazan Emeev, who were the opponents for Roberts and Rakhmonov, are expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking for replacement opponents for them to fight.
Dalby (18-3-1-1NC) is undefeated thus far during his second run in the UFC, having defeated Alex Oliveira by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen. Dalby is a former Cage Warriors Interim Welterweight Champion, defeating Alex Lohore at Cage Warriors 103 to claim the gold.
Emeev (18-4-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Sam Alvey, Alberto Mina and Stefan Sekulic. Emeev is a former M-1 Challenge Welterweight Champion, defeating Mario Miranda at M-1 Challenge 38 to win the gold.
UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
