Report: Darren Till Meets Jorge Masvidal In UFC Fight Night London Main Event, Co-Main Event Also Set

The main event is set for the upcoming UFC Fight Night London card according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as #3 Darren Till is in action against #9 Jorge Masvidal.

Till (17-1-1) is competing for the first time since losing to UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley in the main event of UFC 228. Till had picked up five victories in the UFC prior to the loss, with notable wins coming over Stephen Thompson and Donald Cerrone. Till is also a former MMA Sanda Combat Welterweight Champion, defeating Laerta Costa E Silva at MMA Sanda Combat 2.

Masvidal (32-13-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a win in over two years. Masvidal is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout taking place at UFC 217 in November of 2017. Masvidal has competed forty five times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of his bouts have gone the distance.

The co-main event of the evening is also set and it is going to be a welterweight division encounter as #10 Leon Edwards faces #12 Gunnar Nelson. 

UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 16 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
