A welterweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 216 according to MMA Fighting as Erick Silva is going to be in action against Yaroslav Amosov.
Silva (20-9-0-1NC) is making his Bellator MMA debut in this encounter and does so having won just one of his last three fights. Silva spent a total of five-plus years competing in the UFC and compiled a record of 7-8-0 in the organization. Silva has suffered a total of nine defeats as a professional MMA fighter, but the competitor has yet to be finished by way of submission.
Amosov (20-0-0) has competed just once before under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Gerald Harris by unanimous decision at Bellator 202. Amosov has picked up twenty wins as a professional MMA fighter and nearly half of them have come by way of submission. Amosov competed just once in 2018, making it his least active year as a professional MMA fighter since making a pro MMA debut in 2012.
Bellator 216 takes place on Saturday, February 16 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Paul Daley and Michael Page headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
