A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator MMA Salute The Troops as Erik Perez is going to be in action against Toby Misech.
KHON2 first reported the fight, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Perez (19-6-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Perez is also back in action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout took place in November of 2018. Perez won seven of nine bouts under the UFC banner and he left the promotion on a three fight winning streak.
Misech (10-6-0) has won just one of two under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone win coming over Edward Thommes at Bellator 212. Misech also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 12, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Ricky Palacios. Misech is a former Alaska Fighting Championship Bantamweight Champion, defeating Jared Mazurek at AFC 130 to claim the gold.
Bellator MMA Salute The Troops takes place on Friday, December 20 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii with Josh Barnett and Ronny Markes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
