Benitez (21-8-0) has won just two of his last five under the UFC banner with those wins coming over Jason Knight and Humberto Bandenay. Benitez hasn’t earned a victory in over two years, with his last win coming back in May of 2018. Benitez has competed a total of 29 times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.

Jaynes (16-5-0) has won just one of two during his UFC tenure with that lone win coming over Frank Camacho at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov. Jaynes is a former Total Warrior Combat lightweight champion, defeating Troy Lamson to win the gold at TWC 29. Jaynes has picked up eight professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, but he has yet to be beaten by that method.

UFC Vegas 16 takes place on Saturday, December 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
