A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Moncton according to Nolan King of Flo Combat as Gavin Tucker faces Andre Soukhamthath.
Tucker (10-1-0) is looking to rebound from the first loss of his professional MMA career, which came to Rick Glenn at UFC 215. Tucker is going to be making his bantamweight division debut in this bout, having previously competed as a featherweight. Tucker also has one win in UFC competition and that came over Sam Sicilia via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 105.
Soukhamthath (12-6-0) has won just one of four thus far in UFC competition, with that lone victory coming over Luke Sanders at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Soukhamthath is a former CES MMA Bantamweight Champion, defeating Kody Nordby to win the gold in March of 2016. Soukhamthath won just one of three bouts as an amateur MMA fighter, with one of those defeats coming to fellow UFC veteran Rob Font.
UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
