Rob Font says Thomas Almeida was a dangerous opponent to beat.

Fightful's Jame Lynch caught up to Rob Font during the week of UFC 223 as he was there to support Calvin Kattar and Kyle Bochniak who are scheduled for the card. Lynch asked Font about his recent victory over Thomas Almeida which Font said was a big win for him despite what some said on social media.

"Going in there and finishing a guy like Almeida was huge for me. I knew we could do it. I knew he was there, I just had to stay focused and get the job done. Shout out to him, I know he'll bounce back. On to the next one," said Font. "I got a lot of love for that fight. I also got 'oh yeah, Almeida doesn't have a chin'...I accept all that. I thought it was a big win. He's dangerous, he was dangerous the whole time," he later added.

Font defeated Almeida at UFC 220 in January and brought his UFC record to 5-2 with all the fights coming in the Bantamweight division which he debuted in his first UFC bout.

At UFC 223, Font will be cornering Kattar and Bochniak and Fightful MMA will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for that event.

The full interview with Font can be found at the Fightful YouTube channel or the video at the top of this page.
