A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 235 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #6 Jeremy Stephens is in action against #14 Zabit Magomedsharipov.
Stephens (28-15-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Gilbert Melendez, Doo Ho Choi and Josh Emmett. Stephens is competing on a UFC pay-per-view for the first time in well over a year, with his last such appearance coming at UFC 215 in September of 2017. Stephens has picked up twenty eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and nineteen of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Magomedsharipov (16-1-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Mike Santiago, Sheymon Moraes, Kyle Bochniak and Brandon Davis. Magomedsharipov has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Igor Egorov at Pro FC 47. Magomedsharipov has finished three of his four fights in the UFC and all three of those finishes came by way of submission.
