This weekends UFC 231 card has taken a hit because Jesse Ronson has reportedly been pulled from the event after the fighter was deemed too heavy to safely cut weight. To make the situation worse for Ronson, a Facebook post by the fighter states that since the fight was canceled, so has his contract with the UFC.

There is no word on what weight Ronson was at when the ruling was made to can the fight, but the bout was supposed to be contested at lightweight. There has been no comment from the UFC on the fight cancellation or on Ronson's status with the promotion.

Ronson was expected to face Carlos Diego Ferreira at the event, it is unknown if Ferreira will stay on the card at this time. Ronson was expected to start his second run with the UFC at UFC 231 after going winless in the first stint with the promotion.
