A women’s flyweight division clash has been added to UFC Fight Night Tampa according to the Tampa Bay Times as JJ Aldrich is going to be in action against Lauren Mueller.
Aldrich (7-3-0) has won three of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Chan-Mi Jeon, Danielle Taylor and Polyana Viana. Aldrich is also making her UFC Women’s Flyweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed at strawweight. Aldrich has picked up seven victories as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.
Mueller (5-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Yanan Wu and Poliana Botelho. Mueller also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, defeating Kelly McGill-Velasco by unanimous decision. Mueller has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those encounters went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
