A lightweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 35 as Joe Lowry faces Nikolas Motta.

Lowry (9-1-0) is getting a second chance on the Contender Series, as he has previously competed on Episode 16. Lowry is a former V3 Fights lightweight champion, defeating Zach Fears at V3 Fights 69 to capture the gold. Lowry has picked up five of nine wins by way of KO/TKO, with another three coming by decision.
Motta (11-2-0) will enter the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in over four years. Motta is the current CFFC lightweight champion, defeating Juan Gonzalez at CFFC 79 to claim the championship. Motta also competed on the Ultimate Fighter Brazil Season Four, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Glaico Franca.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 35 takes place on Tuesday, November 10 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
