A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Houston as Juan Adams is in action against Justin Tafa.
It was Adams who announced the bout on the Beyond The Cage podcast, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Adams (5-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Arjan Singh Bhullar and Greg Hardy. Adams hasn’t picked up a victory in just about a year, with that last win coming over Chris De La Rocha at UFC On Fox 31. Adams has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
Tafa (3-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Yorgan De Castro at UFC 243. Tafa previously competed in the Xtreme Fighting Championships promotion, where he won all three bouts by KO/TKO. Tafa has competed a total of four times as a professional MMA fighter and he has yet to go past the second round.
UFC Fight Night Houston takes place on Saturday, February 8 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
