A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Singapore according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Julia Avila is going to be in action against Karol Rosa.
Avila (7-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Pannie Kianzad by unanimous decision at UFC 239. Avila is a former HD MMA Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeating former UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Nicco Montano by unanimous decision to win the gold at HD MMA 7. Avila has seen just three of her eight professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter won all of those encounters.
Rosa (12-3-0) is also undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having defeated Lara Fritzen Procopio by split decision at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Rosa will also enter the contest while riding a three fight winning streak and she hasn’t been defeated in over a year. Rosa has picked up a total of twelve victories as a professional MMA fighter and half of those victories came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Singapore takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Demian Maia and Ben Askren headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
