A heavyweight division attraction will headline UFC Fight Night Wichita according to MMA Junkie as #2 Derrick Lewis is in action against #7 Junior Dos Santos.
Lewis (21-6-0-1NC) is competing for the first time since losing to UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 230. Lewis had won three fights before the loss to Cormier, which included a third round knockout win over former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov at UFC 229. Lewis has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and eighteen of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Dos Santos (20-5-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Blagoy Ivanov and Tai Tuivasa. Dos Santos is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, defeating Cain Velasquez at UFC On Fox 1 to claim the gold. Dos Santos hasn’t suffered a loss in almost two years, with that last defeat coming against Stipe Miocic at UFC 211.
