A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Nashville according to Combate as #1 Jussier Formiga is in action against #4 Deiveson Figueiredo.
Formiga (22-5-0) will enter the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Yuta Sasaki, Ben Nguyen and Sergio Pettis. Formiga hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Ray Borg at UFC Fight Night 106. Formiga has suffered four losses under the UFC banner, with all of them coming to fighters that have either held or challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title.
Figueiredo (15-0-0) has already picked up four wins under the UFC banner, last defeating John Moraga by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Figueiredo is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted nearly seven years. Figueiredo has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
