Report: Justin Gaethje vs. Donald Cerrone Headlining UFC Fight Night Vancouver

A lightweight division attraction is going to be headlining the upcoming UFC Fight Night Vancouver card according to Yahoo Sports as #4 Donald Cerrone is in action against #5 Justin Gaethje.

Cerrone (36-12-0-1NC) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming against the trio of Mike Perry, Alexander Hernandez and Al Iaquinta. Cerrone has previously challenged for the UFC Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC On Fox 17. Cerrone is fighting for the fourth time in 2019, making it the fighter’s most active year since competing four times in 2016.

Gaethje (20-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Edson Barboza and James Vick. Gaethje was the first and only WSOF Lightweight Champion, defeating Richard Patishnock at the WSOF 8 to win the gold. Gaethje has competed twenty two times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
