A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Minneapolis according to MMA Junkie as Justin Ledet is going to be in action against Dalcha Lungiambula.
Ledet (9-2-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Aleksandar Rakic and Johnny Walker. Ledet hasn’t picked up a victory since September of 2017, when he defeated Azunna Anyanwu by split decision at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh. Ledet has competed as both a heavyweight and light heavyweight in the UFC, earning an overall record of 3-2-0 in the promotion.
Lungiambula (9-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Lungiambula is the current EFC Worldwide Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight Champion, defeating Gideon Drotschie and Andrew Van Zyl to start both reigns. Lungiambula is competing outside of the EFC Worldwide auspices for the first time in his professional MMA career, which began in June of 2014.
UFC Fight Night Minneapolis takes place on Saturday, June 29 from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota with Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
