Ibragimov (8-3-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping bouts to the trio of Da Un Jung, Ed Herman and Roman Dolidze. Ibragimov hasn’t picked up a victory in almost two years, with that last win coming over Rafal Kijanczuk at M-1 Challenge 101. Ibragimov has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.

Marques (9-2-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Marques is competing for the first time in almost three years, with his last fight happening in February of 2018. Marques hasn’t been defeated in almost three years, with that last loss coming to Myron Dennis at LFA 9.

UFC 253 takes place on Saturday, September 26 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
