Lorenz Larkin has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from Bellator 219, where he was supposed to headline against Andrey Koreshkov.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, but did not report how long Larkin is expected to be out of action for.
Bellator MMA officials are seeking a replacement for Koreshkov to fight, as he is expected to remain on the card at this time. The promotion has just under a month to find a replacement to battle Koreshkov, as the event is scheduled for March 29.
Koreshkov (21-3-0) has won two out of his last three entering this bout, with those victories coming over the duo of Chidi Njokuani and Vaso Bakocevic. Koreshkov also competed in the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix, losing in the opening round to Douglas Lima. Koreshkov is also a former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion, defeating the aforementioned Lima in their first encounter at Bellator 140 in July of 2015.
Bellator 219 takes place on Friday, March 29 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Andrey Koreshkov and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
