The upcoming UFC Fight Island 6 card has taken a hit as Magomed Mustafaev has reportedly been pulled from a bout against Mateusz Gamrot.
In The Cage first reported the news, but no reason has been given at this time as to why Mustafaev was pulled from the card. UFC officials are seeking a replacement for Gamrot to fight as he is expected to remain on the card at this time.
Gamrot (17-0-1) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over eight years. Gamrot is the current KSW MMA lightweight champion, defeating Grzegorz Szulakowski to win the gold at KSW 42. Gamrot has competed 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and just eight of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Island 6 is set for Saturday, October 17 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
