Report: Adam Yandiev & Magomed Mustafaev Off UFC 242

The upcoming UFC 242 has taken a hit because the duo of Adam Yandiev and Magomed Mustafaev have been pulled from the card.

Yandiev announced via Instagram that he was pulled from the card due to a knee injury during training camp, an injury that will require surgery. Puna Soriano, who was set to face Yandiev at the event, is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight.

No official reason has been given as to why Mustafaev has been pulled from the card at this time according to MMA Junkie. Don Madge, who was set to fight Mustafaev at the event, initially stated that his opponent had been pulled from the card due to a drug related issue, but has since pulled that tweet. Madge is also expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight. 

UFC 242 takes place on Saturday, September 7 from The Arena at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
