Report: Mario Bautista Replaces John Lineker At UFC Fight Night Brooklyn

MMA

Cory Sandhagen needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night Brooklyn after the withdraw of John Lineker and now he has one, as Nolan King of Flo Combat is reporting that Mario Bautista has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Sandhagen (9-1-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated the duo of Austin Arnett and Iuri Alcantara. Sandhagen has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Jamall Emmers via unanimous decision at Legacy Fighting Alliance 5. Sandhagen has seen his last four fights end via some form of finish and the fighter hasn’t gone the distance in almost two years.

Bautista (6-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost two years. Bautista has competed twice in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, defeating the duo of Raphael Montini De Lima and AJ Robb. Bautista has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and three of them have come by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night Brooklyn takes place on Saturday, January 19 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
