A bantamweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on December 19 as no. 3 Marlon Moraes faces no. 11 Rob Font.
Mike Russell first reported the news.
Moraes (23-7-1) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner with that lone win coming over Jose Aldo at UFC 245. Moraes has won four of five when competing on UFC Fight Night cards, but he hasn’t won on a fight night card in almost two years. Moraes has competed a total of 31 times as a professional MMA fighter and nine of those fights went the distance.
Font (17-4-0) enters the contest riding a two-fight winning streak, picking up wins over the duo of Sergio Pettis and Ricky Simon. Font has suffered a total of four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to current or past UFC fighters. Font has seen his last three bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish.
The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, December 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
