David Branch has been forced to withdrawal from UFC Fight Night Vancouver for undisclosed reasons, replacing him against Andrew Sanchez is Marvin Vettori.
MMA Junkie first reported Branch’s withdraw and the addition of Vettori to the card.
Sanchez (11-4-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Markus Perez and Marc-Andre Barriault. Sanchez hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming against Ryan Janes at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Sanchez was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, defeating Khalil Rountree by unanimous decision in the finals.
Vettori (13-4-1) has won just two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming against the duo of Cezar Ferreira and Vitor Miranda. Vettori has seen his last five professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Vettori has suffered a total of four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
