A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC 257 as #6 Michelle Waterson faces #9 Amanda Ribas.

Waterson (18-8-0) has won just one of her last three under the UFC banner and that lone win came over Angela Hill. Waterson has seen her last seven fights go the distance and it has been almost four years since the fighter got a finish. Waterson has a 1-2-0 record when competing at UFC pay-per-view events, with that lone win coming at UFC 229.
Ribas (10-1-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, picking up wins over Emily Whitmire, Mackenzie Dern, Randa Markos and Paige VanZant. Ribas has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to fellow UFC fighter Polyana Viana at Jungle Fight 83. Ribas has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and three of those bouts went the distance.
UFC 257 takes place on Saturday, January 23 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
