A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Prachnio as Mike Rodriguez faces Marcin Prachnio.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Rodriguez (10-5-0) has won just one of four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Adam Milstead at UFC On Fox 31. Rodriguez hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, as the aforementioned victory over Milstead came in December of 2018. Rodriguez also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Jamelle Jones by first round knockout.
Prachnio (13-4-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped bouts to the duo of Sam Alvey and Magomed Ankalaev. Prachnio did go undefeated during a stint in One Championship, with notable wins coming over Jake Butler and Leandro Ataides. Prachnio has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar takes place on Saturday, August 22 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
