A featherweight throw down has reportedly been added to the anticipated UFC card on September 26 as Mirsad Bektic faces Eduardo Garagorri.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout.
Bektic (13-3-0) enters the contest riding a two-fight losing streak. Those losses came against the dangerous duo of Josh Emmett and Dan Ige. Bektic, once a highly-touted prospect, has not earned a victory in more than two years. His last win was against Ricardo Lamas at UFC 225. Bektic’s three losses as a professional MMA fighter all came in UFC competition and the fighter won 11 straight before suffering his first-ever defeat.
Garagorri (13-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first loss as a professional MMA fighter. That roadblock came against Ricardo Ramos at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Garagorri has one victory under the UFC banner over Humberto Bandenay at UFC Fight Night Uruguay. Garagorri competed four times last year, but this bout will be his first of 2020.
The expected UFC card on September 26 has yet to be officially confirmed by the promotion. Fightful will provide live coverage should the event occur.
