A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Singapore according to MMA Junkie as Muslim Salikhov is going to be in action against Laureano Staropoli.
Salikhov (15-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Ricky Rainey and Nordine Taleb. Salikhov hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Alex Garcia at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Salikhov has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
Staropoli (9-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Hector Aldana and Thiago Alves. Staropoli has competed twice thus far in the UFC and both of those encounters went the distance. Staropoli has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that loss came to Alejandro Ezequiel Coslovsky at Punishers 4 in September of 2013.
UFC Fight Night Singapore takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Demian Maia and Ben Askren headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
