A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till as Nathaniel Wood faces Umar Nurmagomedov.
The Mo Hasani 360 podcast first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Wood (16-4-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Johnny Eduardo, Andre Ewell and Jose Alberto Quinonez. Wood has suffered one loss in the UFC and that came via third round TKO to John Dodson at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho. Wood has competed a total of twenty times as a professional MMA fighter and two of those bouts went the distance.
Nurmagomedov (12-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over three years. Nurmagomedov did fight twice in the PFL, picking up wins over the duo of Saidyokub Kakhramanov and Sidemar Honorio. Nurmagomedov has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
