A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on February 6 as Nicco Montano faces Karol Rosa.
Combate first reported the fight.
Montano (4-3-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Roxanne Modafferi at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Montano is a former UFC women’s flyweight division, defeating the aforementioned Modafferi to win the gold. Montano hasn’t won a fight in almost three years, as the victory at the TUF 26 Finale came in December of 2017.
Rosa (13-3-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, picking up victories over Lara Procopio and Vanessa Melo. Rosa has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with one of them coming against UFC veteran Larissa Pacheco. Rosa has competed 16 times as a professional MMA fighter and half of those encounters went the distance.
The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, February 6 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
