A lightweight division fight has been added to Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14 according to MMA Today as Nick Newell faces Alex Munoz.
Newell (14-1-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak and the competitor hasn’t lost a bout since June of 2014. Newell has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to UFC veteran Justin Gaethje at the World Series Of Fighting 11. Newell has seen just three of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter won all of those bouts.
Munoz (4-0-0) is also going to be making his DWTNCS debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost three years. Munoz also returns to action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout taking place in November of 2016. Munoz was earned a victory via a knockout in just three seconds of round one and that win took place at Xtreme Knockout 28.
