Report: Philipe Lins Faces Don’Tale Mayes On 11/7 UFC Card

A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the yet to be announced UFC card on November 7 as Philipe Lins faces Don’Tale Mayes.

MMA Fighting first reported the bout. Lins (14-5-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping fights to the duo of Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser. Lins was the PFL Season One heavyweight champion, defeating Josh Copeland in the finals of season one. Lins has picked up four professional MMA victories by way of submission, but he has yet to be defeated by that method.

Mayes (7-4-0) is also winless in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Ciryl Gane and Rodrigo Nascimento. Mayes competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 4, defeating Ricardo Prasel by first round TKO. Mayes has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and two of those bouts went the distance.

The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, November 7 from a location to be announced with Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
