A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana as Ray Borg faces Nathan Maness.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Borg (13-5-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Gabriel Silva and Rogerio Bontorin. Borg has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 216. Borg has competed a total of eighteen times as a professional MMA fighter and ten of those bouts went the distance.
Maness (11-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on approximately two weeks notice. Maness has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Taylor Lapilus at TKO MMA 48. Maness has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana takes place on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Holly Holm and Irene Aldana headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
