A women’s bantamweight division attraction may be coming to UFC On Fox 28 as #8 Sara McMann faces Yana Kunitskaya.

McMann (11-4-0) has won three of her last four under the UFC banner, but her last bout was a submission defeat to Ketlen Vieira at UFC 215. McMann has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 170. McMann has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came to former or current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champions.
Kunitskaya (10-3-0-1NC) is making her UFC debut in this fight and does so while being the current Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion. Kunitskaya captured the Invicta FC Bantamweight Title with a decision win over Raquel Pa’aluhi at Invicta FC 25. Kunitskaya also had a two fight series with UFC veteran Tonya Evinger, fighting her to a no contest and then losing the second bout.
UFC On Fox 28 takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
