A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Hall vs. Silva as Sean Strickland faces Wellington Turman.
Combate first reported the fight.
Strickland (20-3-0) is competing for the first time since being involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident in late 2018. Strickland has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC fights, with the latest being a second round TKO win over Nordine Taleb at UFC Fight Night Moncton. Strickland has competed 23 times as a professional MMA fighter and nine of those bouts went the distance.
Turman (16-4-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner with that lone win coming over Markus Perez at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Turman competed less than a month ago at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik, suffering a first-round knockout loss to Andrew Sanchez. Turman has picked up seven of 16 professional MMA wins by submission, with another five coming by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Hall vs. Silva is set for Saturday, October 31 from a location to be announced with Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
