Report: Sergey Khandozhko Pulled From UFC Fight Night Vancouver

Michel Pereira is in need of a new opponent for this weekends UFC Fight Night Vancouver card because Aaron Bronsteter of TSN is reporting that Sergey Khandozhko has been pulled from the card due to visa issues.

UFC officials are seeking a replacement for Pereira to face, but the promotion has less than a week to find a suitable opponent. There is no word at this time as to exactly what the visa issue is or how long until said issue is going to be resolved.

Pereira (22-9-0-2NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Danny Roberts by first round knockout at UFC Fight Night Rochester. Pereira did defeat Heat MMA Middleweight Champion Burenzorig Batmunkh at Heat 43, but couldn’t win the actual title due to missing weight for the bout. Pereira has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those defeats came by way of decision.

UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
