A featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Adelaide according to Farah Hannoun as Sodiq Yusuff is going to be in action against Suman Mokhtarian. Mokhtarian was reportedly set to be fighting Tyler Diamond at this event, no reason has been given for that change.
Yusuff (7-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Yusuff competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14, defeating Mike Davis by unanimous decision. Yusuff has picked up four of his seven professional MMA victories by way of KO/TKO, while the fighters lone loss also came by KO/TKO.
Mokhtarian (8-0-0) is also going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over six years. Mokhtarian is also going to be returning to action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout taking place in August of 2017. Mokhtarian has picked up eight victories as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night Adelaide takes place on Saturday, December 1 from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia with Junior Dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
