Report: UFC Cuts James Bochnovic & Jim Wallhead

MMA

The UFC roster continues to slim down because days after Viviane Pereira and Vitor Miranda announced they were no longer with the promotion, a report from Bloody Elbow states that James Bochnovic and Jim Wallhead are out as well.

Bochnovic (8-3-0, 0-2-0 UFC) went winless during his brief tenure in the UFC, dropping bouts to the duo of Trevin Giles and Markus Perez. Bochnovic last competed at UFC 224 in May of 2018, suffering a first round submission loss to the aforementioned Perez. Bloody Elbow also reports that Bochnovic already has signed to fight for a regional MMA promotion, but the organization and opponent weren’t named.

Wallhead (29-11-0, 0-2-0 UFC) also went winless during his brief UFC tenure, but his cut had been expected since Bellator MMA announced signing the UFC veteran a few weeks back. Wallhead suffered losses to the duo of Jessin Ayari and Luan Chagas during his time in the UFC, with the fighters last bout in the promotion coming at UFC 212. Wallhead had been out of action since the UFC 212 bout due to a failing a USADA issued drug test, but has been free to fight again since July 7 of this year.

While Wallhead and Bochnovic already have their future plans lined up for now, no word has been given yet by either Pereira or Miranda as to where they may be fighting at next.
