A women’s flyweight division bout has been added to UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Veronica Macedo faces Maryna Moroz.
Macedo (5-2-1) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the duo of Ashlee Evans-Smith and Andrea Lee. Macedo hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with that last victory coming over Karine Gevorgyan at a Mix Fights Events show. Macedo has competed in a total of eight fights as a professional MMA competitor and five of them have gone the distance.
Moroz (8-3-0) is going to be making her UFC Women’s Flyweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed as a strawweight in the promotion. Moroz held a record of 3-3-0 thus far in the UFC, with those victories coming over Joanne Calderwood, Cristina Stanciu and Danielle Taylor. Moroz has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires takes place on Saturday, November 17 from Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
