A heavyweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on October 3 as Yorgan De Castro faces Ben Sosoli.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
De Castro (6-1-0) is coming off of his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Greg Hardy at UFC 249. De Castro has picked up a single win in UFC competition and that came against Justin Tafa via first round knockout at UFC 243. De Castro has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Sosoli (7-3-0-2NC) has not picked up a win in over a year, as his last three fights have either been no contests or losses. Sosoli has already competed twice in the UFC, fighting the aforementioned Hardy to a no contest before losing to Marcos Rogerio De Lima. Sosoli also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 10, fighting Dustin Joynson to a no contest.
The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, October 3 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
