UFC President Dana White can see a spot for Michael Chandler on the UFC roster.
White spoke with reporters at the UFC 252 post-fight press conference at the conclusion of Saturday night's event. When asked about Chandler entering free agency, White said he would love to sit down with the former Bellator champion. White noted that Chandler deserves a chance to showcase his skills in the promotion.
"I would love to meet with Michael Chandler," White said.
Chandler entered free agency off the back of a first-round knockout of former UFC champion Benson Henderson at Bellator 243. Chandler (21-5) has won four of his last five fights, and is a three-time Bellator lightweight champion. He holds notable victories over Henderson (twice), Eddie Alvarez, Brent Primus and Patricky Freire (twice).
UFC 252 took place on Saturday, August 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stipe Miocic successfully defended his UFC heavyweight title in a trilogy fight against Daniel Cormier in the main event. Keep up with Fightful for all your UFC 252 post-fight needs.
