Last night at the brand new UFC Apex, Dana White's Contender Series returned for its season three opener.
Two fighters left the episode with UFC contracts, including main event winner Punahele Soriano (6-0). Outpointing Jamie Pickett, Soriano was ultimately rewarded a UFC contract. The undefeated Middleweight had never gone to the scorecards before, previously finishing all five of his prior wins.
The 2nd contract went to Yorgan De Castro (4-0), scoring a TKO win over Sanford Alton Meeks.
