Round 1: Golovkin throws a left hook that Rolls blocks. Golovkin throws a jab, then a left hook. Rolls throws a solid right jab that lands on Golovkin's chin. Rolls then lands a jab to the body. Golovkin lands several left hands to Rolls face. Golovkin throws a right jab to Rolls then follows it up with a left hook to the body.

Round 2: Rolls tries to attack Golovkin's body with a pair of right hands, but Golovkin was able to block them and land a body shot of his own. Golovkin then throws several body shots and lands them with relative ease. Golovkin's speed varies whenever he throws his body punches. Rolls does connect with a solid right hand. Golovkin lands a six-punch combination that staggers Rolls, but the Canadian connects with a big jab that rocks Golovkin's head back.

Round 3: Rolls is getting more confident as the fight progresses, walking down the former middleweight world champion. Golovkin lands a couple of short combinations, but Rolls lands a body shot. The two fighters clinch afterwards. Golovkin throws a left jab, followed by a hook to Rolls. Golovkin throws a right hook to the body, followed by an uppercut that splits Rolls' guard.

Round 4: Rolls throws a left hook to Golovkin, but Golovkin was able to step back and avoid it. Golovkin lands a quick left jab, followed by a couple of right hooks to the body. Golovkin is starting to throw more big punches as the round gets deeper. Golovkin lands an awkward looking left hand to the top of Rolls' head and Golovkin knocks out Rolls with a vicious left hook that lands square on Rolls' face.
