MTK Global On ESPN+ (10/11) Results: Jay Harris Victorious In Main Event, Paddy Donovan Wins Debut

MTK Global returned to Ulster Hall with several top prospects and a former world champion in action. 

The main event of the October 11 MTK Global card saw Jay Harris pick up a big knockout win over former title challenger Paddy Barnes and win the IBF Intercontinental flyweight title. With the victory, Harris has now moved into a position where he could challenge for a world title as he is ranked in the top 15 by all four major sanctioning bodies.

The 32-year-old Barnes has struggled mightily in the ring since 2018 as he has lost three of his past four fights. After a knockout loss to then-WBC champion Cristofer Rosales, Barnes would suffer an upset loss to Oscar Mojica during St. Patrick's Day weekend.

In his pro debut, top Irish amateur standout Paddy Donovan needed less than 90 seconds to knock out Arturo Lopez. Also on the card was former lightweight world champion Terry Flanagan, who picked up a disqualification win over Michael Ansah.

  • Lewis Crocker defeated Ohio kain Iremiren by points (59-56)
  • Gary Cully defeated Danny Mendoza by points (60-54)
  • Paddy Donovan defeated Arturo Lopez by KO, round 1, 1:16
  • Conrad Cummings defeated Adam Grabiec by unanimous decision (59-54)
  • Sean Gerard Duffy defeated Edwin Tellez by points (40-36)
  • Pierce O'Leary defeated Oscar Amador by points (40-36)
  • Ruairi Dalton defeated Jose Hernandez by points (40-36)
