On a day filled with big fights, Jay Harris kicked things off in Wales with a big win over a former world title challenger.
In the main event of an MTK Global show that was streamed in the United States on ESPN+, Harris defeated Angel Moreno to capture the EBU European flyweight title. Harris dominated the fight throughout all 12 rounds, winning the belt by unanimous decision.
Harris has won all 16 of his pro bouts and moved one step closer to challenge for a world title. Harris is already ranked in the top 15 on the WBC, WBO and IBF rankings at 112 pounds while Moreno has now lost his last two fights after an unsuccessful attempt at winning the WBC flyweight title back in March.
