Video: U.S. President Donald Trump Calls Colby Covington At UFC Vegas 11: "I'm Proud Of You"

Colby Covington and U.S. President Donald Trump had a powwow on the ESPN post-fight broadcast.

Covington was reflecting on his fifth-round TKO win over Colby Covington when he was handed a phone mid-interview. His eyes lit up like a kid in the candy store when "Chaos" realized Trump was on the other line.

"You are a great fighter, man. I'll tell you. You make it look so easy I don't know how the hell you do that. Congratulations. I wanted to watch that fight tonight. I wanted to watch it. You were great," the U.S. President told Covington. "He's a strong-looking guy too. He's a great fighter, he was a champ and that was easy work, relatively easy work, for you. I'm proud of you man. I just made a big speech. I had 35,000 people and I said, 'I gotta get home now to watch Colby.'"

"I'm a big fan and I'm proud of you," Trump continued. "You're tough. You have the right spirit."

UFC Vegas 11 took place on Saturday, September 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
