Rob Font Expecting Tough Fight Against Marlon Vera At UFC Vegas 53: "He's Gritty"

UFC bantamweight contender Rob Font is expecting his fight with Marlon Vera this weekend to be an exciting outing.

Font spoke with reporters at the media day for Saturday night's UFC Vegas 53 event and gave Vera respect as a game opponent, who he believes will bring the fight to him in their pivotal clash at 135-pounds.

“He’s been around for a while,” Font said (h/t MMA Junkie). "It’s weird. People are acting like he’s like the new guy, but he’s been around for a while – ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ shows, fought a lot of tough guys, fought Aldo. I definitely give him that. I think he might not stand out in one particular martial art, but overall he’s tough. He’s gritty. And he’s not easy to put away, either. If I'm not mistaken, I'm not sure if he's been finished much. So this guy is there. He’s hungry and I know he’s going to be bringing the fight, so this is an exciting fight for me.”
